Sustainable production:
All my covers are produced in Germany close to munich. Additionally, I try to get all my materials from German companies which keeps the carbon footprint as low as possible and leads to a high-quality product.
Facing the environmental challenges, I am committed to making my production methods as sustainable as possible.
One advantage of this manufacturing method is that I can respond very quickly to customer requests and can accommodate to personal wishes. I usually have the covers in stock. Otherwise, production takes 4 to 6 weeks.
How "Rainwings" came to be
As a cinematographer, I’ve always wondered why most camera assistants and cinematographers use backpack rain covers and plastic bags when it rains, rather than the existing rain covers available as camera accessories. However, most products are complicated to set up and don’t adapt to different lengths or camera designs. Time is very valuable on set, and every setup change needs to happen as quickly as possible. I tried to change that. The result is the “Rainwings Eagle,” a rain cover that wraps around the camera like two wings and can be put on in less than a minute.
